Register & Tag
Every asset enters VAWLT with its serial number, model, category, manufacturer, and location. A barcode, QR, or RFID tag is attached so it can be identified quickly from that point on.
Assign Custody
Assets are checked out to the person or location responsible for them. That assignment is recorded, so at any moment you can see exactly who currently holds an asset.
Move & Reassign
When an asset moves between people, departments, or locations, it's checked in and reassigned — keeping the custody record continuous rather than letting it go stale.
Verify
Physical verification cycles confirm that what's in the register matches what's actually on the ground, using the asset's barcode, QR, or RFID tag.
Maintain
Maintenance schedule entries flag when an asset is due for attention, keeping that information attached to the asset's own record.
Retire
When an asset reaches end of life, its record is retained — closing out the history rather than deleting it.
